Spains Air Traffic Control Threaten To Strike

November 2nd, 2010

once again it seems that there are problems in the airline industry with more airline staff striking and this time it seems to be the Spanish air traffic control staff, it would seem that when it comes to this industry there is always something going wrong and I am not sure they are actually getting any less money than I am so what is the issue.

These people are in the line of work that if they do strike it is going to cause some real problems, problems that cannot be ignored, if I went on strike I am sure no one would really care at all and this is a pain for the people that are wanting to go away because it seems they are really going to be upsetting a lot of families!

The Real Point Of The Strike?

Like with all of the strikes in this kind of sector it is over money and this is really annoying because the chiefs of the company really couldnt care less about these people and the only thing the people are doing is upsetting everyone else.

On the other hand I can understand where they are coming from, if they are not getting paid enough money for what they are doing then what choice do they actually have? if they have tried every other tactic then what else are they supposed to do, you cannot just live on hardly any wages when you have a job like that.

The main issue is for the people looking to go on a Villa holidays Spain because they might not get to go on their vacation. The strike itself is unconfirmed on what date it will be happening but rumours have it that it will be taking place on the 18th of August for around three days!

Look out for those Spanish villa images still because the chances are something will happen to fix this whole mess up and you will still have your trip away!

Tips And Helpful Advice On Choosing A Hotel

September 16th, 2010

The last thing any traveler wants to do is to discover, at the end of a long journey, that their chosen hotel is substandard or, even worse, that the room they have booked is no longer available. Hotel reviews on the internet are one of the very best ways to judge the quality of a hotel without actually seeing it in person. There are many, many sites that not only give stars for quality but also offer reviews written by people who have stayed in the hotel recently. What are most travelers seeking?

Cleanliness and friendliness: A clean and comfortable room and friendly staff: Of course, you want your accommodations to be pristine and the staff to be approachable. If you can afford a little bit more, you may be able to find lodging at a hotel that has a concierge. A concierge can tell you the best restaurants in the area and all about local attractions.

Safety: Choose a hotel that has someone staffing the front desk 24/7. The hotel should have a full security staff. The safest hotels have key cards. Each card works for one door, can be duplicated if lost, and is destroyed when the visitor leaves.

Price: If you check hotel review sites you will find a range of prices for each hotel. The lowest price is not always the best price, taking into consideration that more expensive hotels may have more to offer. When paying for a hotel room you are paying for extras like room service, restaurants on site and exercise facilities.

Convenient location: Unless you want to rent a car, you probably want a hotel in a location thats near restaurants and attractions. A hotel within walking or cab distance of these is a good way to save money. However, if you want to rent a car, be sure that you can conveniently get back and forth to where the car rental location is or that the car rental company will deliver the car.

When searching for safe, clean, friendly lodging, dont forget to check reviews of hotels on the internet. If youre going to be late, call the hotel and tell the staff so your room is guaranteed. Make sure to jot down the name of the person who makes your reservation. Ask the reservationist to email your reservation to you. And have a safe trip!

Is The BA Strike Responsible For The Fall In Passenger Numbers For BAA?

September 2nd, 2010

The BA strike in June has apparently caused the number of passengers using BAA airports to fall throughout the last month. According to the UK airport operator, passenger numbers in its airports fell by 1.7% in comparison to the same month last year.

Although British Airways is denying that the strikes are entirely to blame, BAA have stated that if it wasnt for the strike theyd have expected numbers to at least match last years. » Read more: Is The BA Strike Responsible For The Fall In Passenger Numbers For BAA?
