Unforgettable Cruises in the Nile
Being a keen traveller, Ive visited so many different places and have experienced incredible moments that just the travelling experience can provide. Having experienced great moments of awe and admiration towards the natures miracles. From the high altitudes of the Peruvian mountains to the vast Amazon forest and from the glaciers of Patagonia to Morrocos old clay towns there are so many memories and emotions to recall.
When it comes to choosing one of all those moments, I would definitely recall my time in the river Nile as the most electrifying one. it is impossible to put into words all those emotions and that great energy of the powerful river that used to be as sacred as the Sun. Until that day I wasnt keen on river cruises as they didnt seem fun to me.
Being a typical sea-born person I wouldnt expect to feel so good anywhere far from the sea. Rivers were not really appealing to me although Ive lived in cities crossed by great rivers such as the Danube and the Amazon.
During my travel in Egypt I met a very interesting American guy that was an expert in cruise offers and managed to make inhibitions go away and try one. According to his beliefs, for some of the greatest experiences in life there is only one chance which should not be missed. There were so many tour operators selling Nile River Cruises at the town of Aswan that I couldnt resist trying a river cruise for the first time.
And what an experience it was, travelling in the mighty river Nile. Because of its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea there is a similar atmosphere. Just the thought that we were traversing the worlds longest river made me shiver and think of how many peoples lives were depending on that river which stretches all the way from Egypt to Ethiopia. So intense was the experience I had that it makes no wonder why ancient Egyptians worship had the Nile at its center.
