Heading To Ciutat Vella Or Costa Dorada? Don’t Forget Your Barcelona Airport Transfers
There are not many cities as charming and beautiful as Barcelona. It’s no surprise that Barcelona is one of Europe’s most popular city break destinations, and it offers striking architecture, rich history and fascinating culture in spades. It’s well worth considering Barcelona as a holiday destination, whether you’re going away with the family or on a romantic weekend break.
Most visitors choose to fly to Barcelona’s El Prat airport and, although a short distance from the city centre, it’s relatively easy to find good Barcelona airport transfers. It’s also possible to find private taxis and shuttles to take you to the nearby resorts on the Costa Brava and Costa Dorada, as well as Barcelona airport transfers to the city centre. The traveller would be best to book these before their flight, as they can often be set up to arrive and meet the flight when it lands, saving the trouble of finding a transfer once on the ground and in the busy chaos that can be an airport just after a plane has touched down.
Not many cities in the world are capable of matching Barcelona’s sheer style, looks and vibrancy. Visitors can take a stroll along the harbour front in Port Vell or Port Vell, both of which are lined with chic restaurants and cafes, after a day spend gorging themselves on culture in the churches and museums of the ciutat vella, or old town. The Museu National d’Art Catalunya is certainly a main attraction, with tons of exhibits in traditional art that will give the traveller a sense of both the history and culture of the country, but the view over Barcelona is also amazing, something worth climbing the hill to see, as it gives a unique view that encompasses much more of the city that one could see from a lower altitude. Chief among Barcelona’s attractions is Gaudi’s masterpiece La Sagrada Familia, but the pioneering architect’s works can be seen throughout the city and have been awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site status for their exceptional creativity and uniquely personal style .
If you need a break from city life, travel not far away to the Costa Dorada. This family-friendly destination is well known for its wide, sweeping beaches of warm sand and sun. The water is clear and very shallow along the “Golden Coast” as it comes up to the long beaches and hidden coves. The whole area is great for relaxing and recreation, with small restaurants and shops along the beachfront that are perfect for buying trinkets to take home. The Costa Dorada hotels are plentiful as well; long white buildings situated near the water parks and theme parks. If you fly into Barcelona there are plenty of Barcelona transfers that will accommodate you.
