Brighton, England, is just bursting with things to do! Attractions range from walking on the beautiful beaches of Brighton or joining in some beachfront sports to visiting the Royal Pavilion, the summer home of British royalty for many years.

The Royal Pavilion is the jewel in the crown of Brightons many attractions. Built by the architect John Nash in the early nineteenth century, it was the Palace by the Sea of the Prince Regent, George IV. Today it is still one of the most beautiful as well as exotic structures in all of the UK. The furniture and art is magnificent and includes many historical pieces lent to the Royal Pavilion by The Queen. Visit the tearoom that overlooks the reconstructed gardens of the Palace and the Palace Shop.

There are cool, relaxing green spaces within the town of Brighton. There are 98 parks and gardens in Brighton and Hove, including historic Kipling Gardens in Rottingdean. The Gardens were once part of The Elms, the home of Rudyard Kipling from 1897 1902. There is even a wild garden where one can picnic, and herb garden and a croquet lawn. Its only about three miles from the Brighton Pier.

There are 14,000 acres of countryside in and around Brighton. In fact, the area has been awarded National Park status in recognition of the natural beauty of the South Downs. There are walks and trails, bicycling, all sorts of plants and wildlife a place of unequaled beauty to be enjoyed by visitors and locals alike.
