Taking walks Around Las Vegas, Nevada
Numerous Strip hotels have undertaken work to make the street a lot more pedestrian-friendly. New hotels design their façades to entice walk-up buyers, and numerous of these entrances have become attractions themselves – the Fountains at Bellagio, the volcano in the Mirage, and the Sirens of TI pirate display at Treasure Island. Spectators gather on the sidewalks in front of the hotels to view these shows.
To ease traffic issues at well-liked crossing points, many footbridges are already installed to assist pedestrians safely traverse the roads. The Tropicana – Las Vegas Boulevard footbridges were the first to be established, and based on the success of this project additional footbridges happen to be built on Las Vegas Boulevard in the Flamingo Road intersection; between The Mirage/Treasure Island and the Venetian; at the Las Vegas Boulevard-Spring Mountain and Sands Avenue intersection connecting the Wynn with the Fashion Display Mall as well as the Palazzo; and also the latest one being constructed to hook up Planet Hollywood with CityCenter.
